have done everything, same problem
1. rebuilt carb, ultrasonic and new parts, correct jet as per catalog
pulled power head, split cases, resealed crank upper and lower seals ,oring new gaskets

problem is will start and idle just fine , to throttle up still need to close choke to 3/4 closed then will throttle fine

should i drill out jet ????
 
Is throttle plate opening at correct time ?-----Is low speed jet adjusted correctly ?----I would not start drilling jets on a 50 year old motor !----That jet was correct for 50 years and today you think it is faulty ??

do not know of any adjustment of throttle plate opening vs timing cam, do you have an idea how to adjust
 
Is boost venturi in place ?-----Pictures of your carburetor?----Serial # of your motor ?

found one in kansas city
sure that having one in the carb must help
thanks for the help , the carb was taken apart by customer. normally i would not think the venturi would be gone
