No spark whatsoever.

Here is what I have done.
Checked for 400+ VAC coming from stator green wire to gnd. ( green disconnected). Looks good.
Checked brown and white coming from stator for continuity while rotating flywheel. It opens and closes
as manual says it should.
Checked stop switch. It is shorted, opens when pushed.

What am I missing?

I read somewhere on the internet about
an insulator block frequently going bad.
Drawing in my Seloc manual shows
it.

Should flywheel be coming off now?
Where can I get the proper
flywheel puller for this engine?
Serial # 3181847 1971 7.5 HP.

Raceone, right as usual. It came off easily.
Now what. The white wire felt broken. I cut it open, about 1/2 the
strands were broken. It still ohmed out ok, but it was very corroded inside.
Could this be it?
I am considering replacing both wires and insulator blocks if available.
Any other suggestions?

Get rid of any bad wires, and make sure the ground wires are all well grounded. You might have a bad capacitor if you still don't have spark.

The capacitory is about an inch in diamemter and about the same tall. it's located in the left rear on certain models.
