1970 25hp johnson no spark

just bought this motor it hasn't been used for 2 years I have no spark. what can I check with out takeing it to a shop ?

It has the " universal magneto " used on all the 2 their cylinder motors from about 1950 to the late 70's.------Remove the flywheel and check the 2 coils for cracks ( common ) and clean the points and set them to 0.020"

cleaned and reset points and it started right up thank you for your help !!
