1969 Chrysler 9.9 parts help

Hi there everyone,

I am living in Donegal, Ireland where the pace of life is slow and getting hold of common items is a long process. So I decided a 1969 Chrysler would be an interesting challange!

It seems that parts are scarce in America and very rare here.

Does anyone know of a good source?

In particular i am after ignition parts.

Is the CDI conversion worth it?

Are parts interchangeable between the 6/8/9.9 and 15hp versions? (other than power head and carbs)

Something that old, your right it's gonna be a HUGE challenge.
There is a place in Prudenville, Mi. Called Valley sales.
Or over on mastertechmarine that can help with the parts and questions about compatibility.

Thanks for that.

I have had it running well but the lower cylinder is not firing and i suspect the coil.

Looks like another winter in bits!
 
Try swapping the coils?
I believe you can get rid of the regular coils and switch to an automotive coil that works both cylinders.
Try over on iboatsdotcom ask on the Force/ Chrysler Forum.
The guys there recently covered a post about just that.
