1968 Evinrude 3 hp starter

I have a 1968 3 hp Evinrude outboard motor. I can't tell model number, Tag is washed out. I need a starter complete. This is the rope pull type. Any suggestions? Thanks Charlie Boone
 
Many different model numbers but all use the same starter.------JH23 or JW23 would be an example.----The 1968 were the first year with the fiberglass cowling.----That starter on the side of the block is not considered robust.------E-bay is likely the best place to find a complete one.
 
I think your best bet would be to get what you need from someone who has an old parts motor. Hey timguy, do you think your friends in Hackensack might have what he needs?

Thanks for advice. Not robust is an understatement. I remember these when I was a kid. You can't grab and jerk ; you have to use finesse.Will call tomorrow and see availability. Thanks again Charlie Boone
