My starter on my 1968 Chrysler 35 HP will engage sometimes for a moment and then quit and the negative battery terminal will start to get hot and smoke! Took the starter off and jumped it off the battery and it will spin. Put it back on and tryed to jump it off the battery it won't do anything! Does anyone have an idea what this might be?
