1966 60hp evinrude flooding

I just bought an older boat with a 60 evinrude V4 i was told its a 1966 model year it runs nice exept when you try to go to full throttle then it floods itself. I cleaned the carbs but it still does it any suggestions? thanks in advance.

If by "floods itself", you're saying that fuel flows out of the carburtors, either the float level(s) are wrong or the float needle valve(s) are wron.

ok thanks joe im going to pull the carbs again and change the needle valves and check the float levels

With the carburetor body held upside down, the float being viewed from the side, adjust the float so that the free end of the float (the end opposite the hinge pin) is ever so slightly higher (just ever so slightly off level) than the other end. And when viewed from the end, make sure it is not cocked.
