1963 merc 60 check valves

How do I change the check valves without damaging them. Hoping to run this motor next weekend. Bought this little motor 8 years ago and just this year really got into it and this (I hope) is my last step. The motor itself has no plate or decals left on it that's the way I bought it but the pump housings # is 31502. Thanks

Which pump do you mean? Check valves in the fuel pump usually don't go bad.

Thanks for the reply. The kit I bought for it came with 2 of them but once I removed the piece with the check valves I was able to blow only one way so your right they are still good. Thanks again
