1962 Evinrude Lark IV Outboard - Keep or Give Away

Everyone,

I purchased this old 40HP outboard for no real reason except it was there and I thought it might be fun to get running and possibly use on my 1958 boat. I actually purchased a 1956 30HP Johnson that I like much more. My question is if this engine is worth working on or should I hand it to someone else. The fuel system and electrical are different than the Johnson. The model # is 35530. I pulled the carb to see how it looks and it seems complete. I see some manuals showing electric shift and don't have any controls or manuals. I do have a friend that has a cool old 1960 boat that is under powered with the current outboard. If you have an opinion please shoot it to me on this motor.

That motor is not electric shift.-------A simple reliable machine if in good condition.

Good motors. If you don't want it, sell or give it to somebody that will appreciate it or need it.
