How do you pull the shift rod

How do you pull the shift rod bushing in the lower unit so you can install a new o ring under it

"By inserting a specially machined drive out rod from the gearbox side. This drive out rod has a slighter larger step land - that when inserted into the bushing, the step land area contacts just enough of the bushing rim so it can be driven out."

would you have any idea where I could get one of the drivers

"u know,..u r gonna have to tear down,the gearbox,right?...u r gonna need a few parts,.at best,a re-seal 'kit'.. i have seen them on ebay,..or,any john/rude dealer could order one,but,its just a machined rod..u might get lucky,and use a punch."
 
"personally I just use a piece

"personally I just use a piece of brass rod that just fits inside the hole from the skeg side. Try 5/16ths and if too large file it down. Otherwise there is a gentleman named Frank Robb over at http://www.aomci.org/ who makes that plus some other tools for the 50's OMC motors."
