Welch Plug Question
1957 Johnson 5.5
Replace Welch plug after carb rebuild (used no sealant), dialed in low speed needle in the tank and seamed to be OK.
Out on the water could not get the motor to run more than a trolling speed adjusting high needle, just dogs when trying to accelerate. Starts beautifully on first or second pull second pull and idles smooth as silk, When accelerating seams like she wants to kick in but just doesn't happen, kinda bogs down but still keeps running (little rough) and running and running
New points, plugs, wires, condensers and coils. plug gap is correct
24:1 AMSOIL with no ETH premium.
Could I have air leaking through the Welch plug?
After probably over thinking the situation should I re-check my throttle advance cam position
Hey thanks much for any input
