1956 Evinrude starter

The Autolite MDH 4001M 11K starter from my 1956 Evinrude Lark 30 hp motor got cooked when the starter solenoid stuck in the on position. All the insulation inside was burned away. The through bolts for the starter bolt into the mounting bracket on the motor. Amazon sells a unit that it says is a replacement for the MDH 4001M, but its through bolts are spaced farther apart and therefore will not bolt to the bracket. A repair shop says they probably can repair my starter but will need to replace the bottom brush plate. Does anyone know a source for such a plate or maybe even a source for a real Autolite MDH 4001M starter? A good used one is acceptable.

I have some starters around here, maybe 30 or so. I'll look to see tomorrow what will fit the 56. I have a 57 Johnson Javelin 30 to see exactly what your talking about.
