1955 mark6-1

Just recently overhauled this Mark6-1 (1955) and I can get it running
but only if I keep squeezing the fuel line bottle.What should the
fuel screw main adjustment be set at? I have it at 2 1/2 and
the idle at 1 3/4 but it does not idle at all. Also, if anyone has one of these
motors and can tell me if the throttle stop lever should be hitting the stop
on full throttle. I just put in a new fuel pump gasket and the flow of
fuel is low but I do not think is is sufficient. Get back to me at

I believe FastJeff writes for that board sometimes and may be able to help you out, but for sure one of the guys who posts there will have the manual for your motor.

Test the fuel PRESSURE with a gage (0 to 15 psi.) It should make about 4 pounds at idle. Try 1 /14 turns out on the idle screw.
