Hi all.
I am having trouble with my mercury 15hp 2 stroke (I think its newer than 2008).
When accelerating there is a certain point (just before half throttle) where the engine starts sputtering and dies. I got given the engine like this so I'm not sure what may have happened to it. I can hold the throttle before and after this point just fine so I'm a bit stumped as to what it could be.
Another thing that may or may not be related to this is that the engine seems to only want to start with the choke out but when it is running it runs with the choke in.
