I am trying to disassemble the tiller handle on a 15 hp1996 Mariner. I have the tiller handle off the engine but need to disassemble it further to replace the cables. I'm stuck on how to remove the rotating throttle handle from the metal frame tiller arm. I cannot find any screw, latches or releases to remove the handle. Nor does the Mercury service manual diagram help other than not showing any screws. The handle has never been removed and may be stuck, but I'm hesitant to beat on it too much in case there is a latch or other I'm missing. Anybody ever had one of these apart and can share the disassembly secret? Thanks in advance
