OK now i know the year of my engine 1975 i had fuel contamination i striped the fuel pump and carburetor put-it all back together it only back biers occasionally but won't run i put it all back with same settings on mixture screws just wondering if i have the float the wrong way round or sum how i have messed up the float setting.On the float there is two small rased dots and if they are the wrong way round it the only thing i can see.it's obviously not getting enough fuel?.float setting or have i missed sumthing on the strip down and rebuild am i correct to think it is 100/1 1ml to 1 ltr of patrol/gas i am in the UK this engine has only Ben used on canals and rivers fresh water as far as i know only one owner from ther was a bit of junk in the pump but not much verry small bits of what looked like paint and rust but all clean diaframs are OK and pump is working spotless and all jets blown through so a bit miffed as to why it wont start
