"Hello, my name is Mario-
Maybe you folks can help get me started on my project. I am looking to replace my fuel tank on my 20' Mako CC (1975). On it I have a blown 1985 Johnson 150, which will also be replaced. I peeked under the console to see how and where to start removing wires etc. so I can take the console off to get to the access hatch for my fuel tank and truthfully here, I have no idea where to begin. I am hoping that you guys can help me through. I understand I have to remove the steering and throttle cables but its all the electrical stuff I'm confused with. Am I to seperate the wiring coming from the motor at the motor, or somehwere under the console? I also have 2 fittings or "pipes" if you will coming up out of the tank through the deck, visible under the console, one has the fuel gauge, the other has the fuel hose with bulb that leads to the canister filter. Are these 2 things part of the tank? Please help- any and all advice will surely be appreciated.
Thanks So Much!
Mario
