"Kevin, depending on the year/model of your "Viking" it could well be a Chrysler model. I have had a look at my model lists and don't see a listing for a 5 horse Viking at all (3 horse then 6 horse).

Evinrude did make some Viking's in the early/mid 1930's, so will need a little more info on your motor..."

"Sorry Kevin, I didn't have that on my Viking lists (store brand for Eatons made by a variety of mfg's).

That model number makes it a 1960, 5 horse, twin cylinder - exactly the same model as the Gale Buccaneer.

Anyhow, if you can keep the motor running by pumping the fuel bulb, that usually indicates a fuel pump problem. Since in essence, you have become the fuel pump by pumping it to the carb yourself..."
