1981 DT 140 hp missing head itbs gone

"Hello all. I picked up a '79 Checkmate boat with this DT 140 from about 1981. The head is missing from the engine, bolts and all. However, the entire assembly rotates freely, and I'm interested in throwing a used, good head on the engine to see if it'll run. Everything else appears to be present--to my untrained eye.
Can anyone help with those specific pieces?
Sounds silly to some, but with the cost of engines I thought if I could get it running fair, I can trade up with less cost."

"I've been looking over the page on Browns. I think I'm looking at several missing parts. Probably the upper and lower cyl heads and covers. It looks like I need parts 1 thru 16 (top end).

For new prices it looks too expensive for an unknown engine. I'd still like to piece it together with a mix of new and used if possible.

I'd like to have the upper

I'd like to have the upper and lower heads and all the attachments to them if they'll work on my '81 engine.
What's the serial number on the one you have?
