"I've got me an evinrude super 14HP motor 1987 and was wondering if they originally had a shallow water bracket fitted. Mine doesn't.
I would like to put one on this motor,so if not an original one, can a different one be used?

There are 14 hp models listed

There are 14 hp models listed for 1988 and 1989.

They do not have a shallow water drive facility.

maybe the parts for the 15hp models will fit but I think probably not.

Looks like I'll have to keep using a block of wood if i can't adapt something from the wreckers.
