"I've got an '85 OMC 5

"I've got an '85 OMC 5.7, I have the intake off now for an Edelbrock Performer swap and I think I've found compatible gaskets for that here;

I also heard a small exhaust leak from the manifold area, and I think I should change those while I'm at it. Will any standard 350 manifold gasket suffice? I am having no luck crossing the number from OMC to anything else..."

"Brad, I believe that a normal

"Brad, I believe that a normal exhaust gasket should fit and suffice for your application. I have a 1985 5.0 OMC V8 and normal exhaust gaskets have worked fine for me. Bolt pattern is the same. If your exhaust leak is somewhere else in the system (ie exhaust hose or riser gasket, etc) of course use the specific OMC, GLM or whatever equivalent crossmatch you can find (many of them right here at the marineengine.com website store), not automotive stuff. It can make the difference between a good and not so good day boating. - Gerry"
