    should prop turn when idling

    just replaced pinion gear and bearing assembly on 2010 50 hp merc. after putting back together, started up and prop moves in fwd. and reverse but not nuetral. seems like it did before.only ran it for about a minute but so no water coming out from waterpump so i shut it down.any suggestions?

    drive shaft removal

    cannot figure out how to remove drive shaft to replace pinion gear on 2010 merc out board.lower unit is off and prop shaft is removed. gear was broke in half. 50 horse 2 stroke
