    Help on reattaching gearcase on E225txcda/shift rod won't go up without stopping

    I just finished a waterpump replacement and now trying to re-attach gearcase on motor. When the shift rod gets to the top of the tower, it jams and won't go into hole at bottom of powerhead. It seems to jam and won't make the final turn to match up with the hole. Any suggestions or techniques...

    E225TXCDA 1986 225 Evinirude won't trim down but will trim up

    I have 12v at the C2 connector to the tilt motor and the relay clicks when I press the trim down switch. All works fine trimming up. Manual says to service motor if it doesn't work with power at the C2 connector, but is that the problem if it works trimming up? Could it be a hydrallic issue...

    1986 225hp Evinrude VRO fuel pump problem

    When trying to install new fuel hose from the intake fitting on the fuel pump to the filter, the male nipple separated from the fuel pump housing. I can't see what holds it in the housing other than it was installed at the factory with heat, etc. How can I reattach it?
