    lower unit ratio question

    I have a 1995 mariner 200. i suspect that it originated off of a fish n ski. The question is, did mercury outfit the fish n ski boats with a different gear? The reason I ask is my old motor was nearly 8 to 10 mph faster at he same rpm's. Just wondering. thanks.:confused:

    I have a question on the alarm module. If I remove the module, will the overheat alarm still function? I see there is a wire tied in. I have the pump looped to itself, and the tanks removed. All I have left is the electrical. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Temp sensor 1989 evineude. E200STLCEB. Is there a way to test the temp sensors. I know if you ground the wire from the power pack the horn goes off. But I want to test th sensors themselves.

    skip / backfire thru carbs at idle. runs out great. 1989 xp 200

    I have a 1989 Evinrude XP200 that has a skip ,or backfire at idle. if I run it W.O.T. for a bit, it will idle fine for a while, but will go back to the skip.
