motor hard starting after sitting a month

I have a model year 2000 200 EFI Merc. It sat for a month or so. I took it out to the lake to test a new kicker I had installed. When I went to start the 200 it ran very slowly and would not allow any additional throttle or it would quit. After a few of these starts and stops it began to...

over heating problem new pump and tstats did not help

I have a model year 2000 200 EFI Mercury outboard. This past August I was on Sturgeon bay and the water temp was in the low 70s. I was just cruising along a about 3000 RPM and the over heat warning horn came on. I looked at the temp gauge and sure enough it was at about 210 degrees. The motor...

I have a 2000 200 EFI that starts great but runs rough through all rpm ranges and smokes something fierce at all rpm ranges. Plugs have less than 200(a guess) hours on them and look o.k. After running the engine the plugs are not fouled but are a bit oily. Smoke does not go away after running...

2000 200 EFI idles then dies

I have a 2000 200 EFI. Last time I was out it was running rough midrange, running fine at high end and idling fine but only for about 5 minutes. After idling for 5 minutes or so it would surge a bit then die. Shifting into neutral and restarting it would idle fine for another 5 minutes or so...

    2000 15 hp 4 stroke cracked block

I have a 2000 15 hp 4 stroke that is getting water in the oil. Marine tech says testing indicates a possible cracked block. Is there a way to use something like radiator leak stop to seal the crack? Thanks Bruce
