    Hi I have just fitted the above motor to a rib in the UK. It came with a high performance gear box. Is there any difference from a normal 225 opti gear box. Just trying to prop it correctly. Thanks W

    225 not charging

    My 225 is charging when I run it on the muffs it says 14.5v's. As soon as I put the boat in the water and start the motor the battery light comes on and the buzzer goes. My Garmin plotter registers 12'vs then starts dropping. Is it the alternator do you think?

    2008 225hp Gear Box Failure

    Has anybody had problems with a 225 gear box failure? Just had it go today on a 2008 model. Forward gear. Going along at 5000RPM and it just jammed and we stopped pretty quick. We had same problem last year?? Should be under warranty but just interested. Thanks

    225 looses power while accelerating

    My engine accelerates up to 2500rpm then as I push the throttle further forward the power dies until I push much harder on the throttle then it seems to be fine up to WOT. Does anybody have any ideas? I have run a diagnostic and the only fault is the O2 sensor which is being replaced anyway.
