    1974 Evinrude Hustler 70hp

    I am unable to get the motor t I am unable to get the motor to tilt. There is no resistance on the tilt lock/lever so the mechanism could be broken. Is there any way short of removing the motor to override the mechanism? I located a 1976 trim/tilt unit and was wondering if it would work.
