    E25DTL from tiller to remote

    I just began the switch to remote control from tiller. The Etec has tilt and trim and the remote control conversion kit (P/N 5007742) says I need to connect to a Tiller sending Unit. I don't know what that is. What is that?!. Thanks Paul

    1964 Merc 60 6HP

    I was gifted this fine outboard and replaced the impeller and housing etc. The bottom of the water inlet tube appears to have had an "O" ring that is missing. I'm thinking it would seal the sleeve from the water pump housing when I reconnect the lower unit. Any Thoughts? Thanks Paul

    Any good advice on getting the lower unit lined up with the powerhead? I seem to have difficulty lining up the splines on the main shaft to the powerhead, and don't want to use any force. Thanks
