    Steering play

    Rack and pinion steering system has a good deal of play in it. Previous yahoo ( I am the current "yahoo") installed his own cable which seems too short to make all the bends etc... How Do I tighten up the play in my R/P system?

    Does it matter if instead of putting the stern mounting bolts in Hex bolt head> Fender washer>spacer>double wound lock washer (as recommended) my helper put them in Hex bolt head>spacer >fender washer> double wound... Is this okay? Please tell me I dont have to rent the realignement tool...
