    Great, I'm guessing the reed valve is very reliable, or if faulty doesn't effect compression? I have attached a photo of the Yamaha ID plate Model is 4AC, other numbers 6EO, S, s/n 145559

    Hey guys, just bought a Yamaha 4hp outboard in supposedly "running" condition. It will not start, has a good spark, tried Aerostart, wont even fire. Compession tester shows around 40 psi when I'm pulling the starter cord by hand. I know this is too low, I am a retired mechanic and know how...
