    alternator to hot to touch

    I have a 1995 5.7 vortec mercruiser. I put in a new alternator 50amp. I never noticed it before the alt. is getting very hot. It's charging good & using a multi-meter to test it is putting out 14.05 volts. Does marine alt. get this hot?

    Install O-RING or don't install O-RING

    Can I use FEL-PRO INTAKE GASKET KIT # MS-98000T for SALT WATER application? FEL-PRO came out with this updated intake gasket to eliminate the vacuum leak due to the intake bolt pattern ( only 2 bolts in each corner). All my readings on this gasket were positive & were related to street application.
