    Prop Replacement

    I have a 17' aluminum bass boat, 1990 60HP Evinrude Tracker. Came with a 13.75 x 15 aluminum prop. Very satisfactory performance. If I replace it with an aluminum 12.5 x 15 will I be sorry. What performance am I losing?

    Gearcase "tailfin" - no oficial part number

    I have taken a chunk out of the "fin" that hangs (attached) below the gearcase of a 1990 60 HP. I assume this is aluminum. Can I repair it by welding a piece to it? If this lower extension (which provides some prop protection) has a name I don't know what it is.

    Anodes

    Do anodes actual eat away like a block of salt, or do they get "used up" but still appear to be okay? I have a 1991 Evinrude 60 HP. Bought used. Runs fine. Wondering if anodes need changed. Look good, but...have they ever been changed?

    Speedometer

    Speedometr was working. Quit last time out. I thibnk it may be a blocked tube from the guage to the inlet on the transom. How best to clean it. Poor something in it? Put air pressure on it at the top (dashboard)? Any suggestions appreciated. RRConboy

    Now that I know the difference between a TE60TLEIB (TRACKER) and an E60TLEIB (non-tracker) '91 Evinrude engine, I am wondering what is the difference?     Just purchased a 1991 Lowe boat with an Evinrude TE60TLEIB. What is the different between that and E60TLEIB? (Engine runs nice!)
