    Would the revs go above the WOT,or would the extra power be more torque? If a car or bike engine is given more power,it is converted into more revs,but more revs on an outboard have a limitation. Without a change in gear ratios,wouldn't a power uplift be over revving the motor?

    Jammed open stat on 1963 18hp fastwin.

    I have a 1963 18hp fastwin,the stat on it is jammed open,i may have to wait a while before I can get a new stat. I know running without a stat prevents getting all the two stroke oil to burn with the fuel. Would it be ok to run with a jammed open stat for a while?
