    Gear oil for 290sp

    My manual says to use 30 or 40w engine oil but that was written in 1985. I’ve been using 30w in it but want to know if there is anything better or is 30w still preferred? I replaced the original outdrive 3 or 4 years ago with a rebuilt one so want to do what’s best. Thanks for any help. Robert

    1996 200 EFI rpm question

    I have a 1996 200 EFI. The stated rpm range is 5000 to 5800. The prop I have on it now gets me to 5800. Is it better to prop closer to the middle range or even the low range or is it OK to keep things as is? What’s the advantage of going up in pitch to drop rpm’s?
