    I have 2003 40 hp Johnson won't idle so I cleaned the carburetors now it will idle for just a second and die I can choke it and get it to start back but no idle any ideal what might be wrong I put new plugs in it new gas fuel filter checked the compression I have 90 on both cylinders

    I have a 90hp mercury on my pontoon any when you throttle up it takes off then the rpms go up but the boat doesn't get any faster it sounds like the prop comes out of water but it doesnt. Does anyone have any ideas on what may be the problem
