    Is this a battery problem

    I went to start my Mercruiser I went to start my Mercruiser this afternoon after a couple of months. I knew the battery would be flat and so took my "booster pack". Engine started fine with the pack connected. When I disconnected the power pack my CD player and the tacho gauge started smoking...

    98 pull cord

    I replaced the pull cord on my I replaced the pull cord on my 9.8 but it doesn't always "catch". I am pretty sure that I put the dogs in correctly. Any thoughts...? Thanks Red Dwarf

    98 hp Mercury will not idle

    "I have Merc. 9.8 that will no "I have Merc. 9.8 that will not idle or run at trolling speeds. I have cleaned the plugs and have just put fresh fuel in the tank. Any ideas? Also, when starting, even when hot, I have to pull out the choke and then immediately push it in once the engine...
