    Just rebuilt powerhead last fall. Carbs are freshly rebuilt and squeaky clean throughout. Reed valves are perfect. SPark jumps 7/16 gap - compression is 135-140 on both. No crankcase air leaks found anywhere. Very meticulous during the rebuild in terms of crankcase assembly and torque values...

    Can not get this thing to idle!

    1985 E50BELCO I just rebuilt it and even before that I was having idle issues. It is spitting fuel from the Idle Bleed Orifices (Not from carb Throat at all) and I have to crack the carbs ever so slightly with cam adjustment to get to stay Idling.     Got my 50 hp back together and took it for a spin everything went together great and ran good. Noticed slight clatter when running so when I got home I looked everything over and noticed a tiny bit of side play in the flywheel. Maybe 1/64" and a little clunk when pushed forward/aft.     1985 50 HP #2 Cylinder gone - is it boreable?

    E50BELCO - deepest gouge appears to be somewhere in the .010-.015 range. Cylinder measures 3.210. Think it can it be bored out? If so Ill rebuild it with a full rebuild kit and oversize pistons etc.. If not Ill make a lamp out of it. Havent had it looked at yet. Sleeve appears to be a good 1/8"...
