    At Idle in fwd under way no exhaust is mixed in with the prop wash on the starboard engine, you can clearly see the exhaust in the port prop wash. at 2000 rpm or so you can see it on both sides. I havent taken the elbow's off yet but wondering if anyone might know what's goin' on there.

    Have you checked the ignition interrupter switch? It might be out of adjustment, broken or loose? The one at the shift linkage next to the carb, it momentarily cuts ignition during the shift into gear so it doesn't shift too hard. I would check that first.
