    Yamaha 90 two stroke…newbie ?’s

    I own acouple smaller Johnson motors I work on myself and want to buy a 90 yamaha two stroke-and besides checking compression(what’s a good number),what would be some things to look for on a yamaha two stroke? I guess they are oil injected?Main thing I guess is to also look for overheating.

    Difference in stators

    Looking to add electric start to my 1985 20crcos and looking up parts used and new and I see a 1992 uses a different part number, but I don’t see a obvious difference.The 92 says about being a three wire,but the 85’ looks like three wires in picture.Any info would be appreciated.

    Have a broken carry handle and the number stamped on it is 306236 which show unavailable,but found 384296 Carry Handle kit.Picture(not a photograph) looks like the same handle.Anyone verify?

    9r70c reverse lock

    Am I missing something or are these motors always in locked position.I. Recently got this for running the river and kept my other motors with the lock/unlock feature unlocked due to the rocks.Don’t see anything in parts diagram that is filling me in on a missing part that I can see..?

    Wrong prop on 9R-70C?

    Picked up old motor and it has a Michigan prop #012008 8 1/4x8 that appears to be pretty much new.Problem is it fits very loosely on shaft. Thought this should be a nice slip fit. ID of bushing measures approx. .640 and prop shaft is .540 from my measurements. I found it listed to fit this 9.5...
