    1977 Johnson 70 hp 70EL77S - are these timer base readings bad?

    I have no spark and have worked my way over to testing the timer base. It's supposed to read 10-20 ohms it's only reading 7.6 ohms. Does that mean replace it? I just want o make sure. thanks!

    Engine - 1977 Johnson 70 hp 70EL77S I purchased Part - 18-3053-1 - Impeller OMC 396725, 432954 - I think got the wrong one :( - I think the existing is still in good shape :rolleyes:
