    Temp sensing unit replacement.

    On my Boat the 225 Buicks Temp sender isn't working. I know this cause I overheated, and the idiot light didn't come on. Where would I find a replacement for this so I can run a Temp Gauge on, or near the dash? Scott

    Waterpump Gasket needed

    Would anyone know where I can order a Waterpump Gasket for my 225 Buick V6 ?? Or should I just make one out of gasket silicone? I removed it to check how good it was, found out its PERFECT...NO wear. The Leg is going in to have the Impeller changed, as that HAS to be the over-heating culprit...

    Engine still overheats after running, and slowing down. T-Stat is new, and replaced awhile ago. Funny thing the other day while I removed the Waterpump. I ran a small parts brush run in and out of the block water hole a few times, the Starbord bank seemed to release some crap. Looked like fine...

    Tattle-tale

    My very old OMC Drive has a hose adapter on the Port side. When in operation, it only spirts from the Starboard side. This normal? Just wondering, as I had another over heating incident. T-Stat is new. I fear the Waterpump is done, but havent explored yet.

    Temperature Guage VS Idiot Light

    On my dash, I have a temperature " Idiot Light. If I install a Temp Guage, can I simply hook the sensing wire of a Temperature Guage to this wire that goes back to the sending unit on the engine? That is, after I have hooked up all the other wires ( power, ground, backlight) properly.

    Looking at a second Boat

    I'm looking at a 1978 28 foot Trojan, with Galv. Trailer. Marina Operator say it has a Mercedes Diesel engine. I don't even see a forum for those engines. Are they any good? Anyone have any experiences good OR bad they will share? Thanks in advance.

    Test Ride

    I tested a new fuel pump. Carter direct replacement. Boat hits 4000 RPM WOT easily now, with no hesitation. A nice afternoon on the Lake, blasting around. Fishing next. Hope your ALL having fun, and safety on the water !!!!! S.
