115 Johnson lower unit removal

It's either a 2003 or 04 model.. I've taken off bolts from lower unit. Is there a great shift that needs to be removed near the engine cowl. It's there a picture of it somewhere? Thanks
 
I understand that, just asking about that one question in particular. Hoping someone has some knowledge in this area. Thanks.
 
I believe there is a shaft horizontally under the carburetors.----That needs a hitch pin removed and then pushed to the port side to release the shift rod.---No model posted so it is a guess.----Worked on some that had that feature.
 
There is 2 bolts on either side of the gear case, one in the middle and one under the trim tab cover. You also have to release the shift linkage which is located under the carbs on the starboard. Pull the pin out and push the lever in to release the shift linkage. Release the linkage before you remove all the bolts on the gear case. Good luck.

Sorry, it's a J115PLSOR...I did see a pin there
