"I have a 1989 Baretta fish/ski boat with a 275 volvo penta in/outboard motor. It was given to me by a relative who knows nothing about it. The prop is really banged up and is in bad need of replacement. I will mainly be skiing with the boat and would like to know what type of prop needs to be put on the boat. I don't know what size diameter or pitch needs to be on it, but I would like to have as much power as possible and still be able to run at least 25 mph or so, Any help would be greatly appreciated.

In any case, you should probably try first with a prop of the same size you have now. Look for numbers on it indicating d x p (diameter x pitch) and possibly a part number. Then you can go to Michigan Propeller and match it online or download their catalog.
