Does anyone know if I can con

Does anyone know if I can convert the ignition system of a Chrysler M 45 S over to electric? What will I need to remove and what will I need to install? Who makes the best electric ingition for this type of engine?

"Peter, if you know what make and model of distributor you have, you can shop for a Pertronix electronic pickup unit for it. Some of the parts suppliers linked from this site carry Pertronix pickups. These are "bolt in" conversion units that replace points ignitions in your original distributor. I've used them for years, but still carry my points, condenser, rotor, etc. onboard as a backup.
