"Hi, if anyone can help me my boat pulls to the left at about 3000rpm and up.... my engine is a volvo penta aq 131a 275."

My prop is in good condition..

My prop is in good condition... as for boat loading it can see why that would make a difference but the pull is pretty extreme..... If I were to let go of the steering wheel. it would pull me left more than 45 degrees... to me it seems like something is not connected on that side of the lower leg... I'm new to this but I know this isn't normal.... I do appreciate all the feedback cuz it's teaching me as I get more experience.... thanx again fellas

"A propeller with dents or bent usually causes vibration, but should not normally cause the boat to pull to one side.

To correct the problem you are experiencing, loosen screw 5 (see link) and turn the exhaust outlet slightly to the left, then fasten again screw 5. You may have to make this adjustment several times until you find that the boat does not pull to either port or starboard.

"Is there a gasket that goes under the flap? I ask because my boat has the similar problem, but not as severe. If I take the flap off, does it require any type of service? IE cleaning. Thanks....

"Ron, no need to remove the fl

"Ron, no need to remove the flap...you're just loosening screw 5 in the above diagram and that allows you to move the exhaust outlet left or right in order to correct steering problems."
 
I just recently replaced the e

I just recently replaced the exhaust outlet too and that didn't even cross my mind. Will try that and hope that is the problem.... Thanx fellas
