CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT DIESEL ENGINE I COULD FIX INTO A 24FT BAYLINER THAT HAS A V8 OMC COBRA 5.0L ENGINE

Volvo Penta KAD43P (230 hp), KAD44P (260 hp) or
KAD300 (285 hp).

You would need to buy the complete package - engine and sterndrive. These are all equipped with the Volvo Duo-prop drive unit.

Performance with the 230 hp version would be pretty much equal to the 5.0 gas. The 260 and 285 would outperform the 5.0.

" The Steyr 260hp,246,236, or212hp will bolt up with a mod to exhaust,mounts,fuel. Use same IO but may need more pitched prop. Speed will go up and fuel consumption at cruise way less! Check out Stewart and Stevenson "
