"64 tbolt,

I think the 460 was a bored out 427 block. I don't know of a owner's/service/parts manual for the 460 ... but they are available for the Chris Craft 427 Ford. Let me know if you want one.

Regards,
Andrew Menkart

" 64 Tbolt, just an FYI, but the 460 is a stoked 429 (since the 429 came first.) The 429 and 460 are different blocks than the FE series (352, 390, 427, 428), so bolt-ons and accessories are probably different for marine setup, too. I believe the tranny bolt pattern was the same for all big block Fords, though. "

" the 429/460 use the same block. The engine family is called 385 series. The 460 has a 3.85 stroke, the 429 has a 3.59.The difference is in the crank and pistons. All parts will interchange. You can turn a 429 into a 460 by changing the crank and pistons and do the same with a 460.I know teh FE is different.
