"I have a 1975 Carver with 302's. The exhaust ports are mostly above the waterline. It exhausts quite a bit of what looks like smoke but I'm told it is steam and that it is normal. Is this really true? Thanks, Will

" Will,
How are the engines cooled? Raw water? Is the water discharged into the exhaust? Has this condition gotten worse recently? Is the engine running any hotter... are you getting the same amount of water flow into the exhaust?
Regards, Andrew "

" It is normal to get steam from your exhaust.
If you are in doubt about your cooling system,
feel around your manifolds and risers.
They should be warm, but not too hot to touch. "
