"To All,

I am one to take care of my stuff. I have a old honda accord that I have been driving since 89. And it runs like a champ with over 200k on it.

Just wondering if my old J225TXCUB will be the same if I take care of it? It has like 200 hours on a rebuild block with old owners that didn't even rinse off the motor, or run fresh water through it, but once in a while.

Just got done with:
1. new plugs and wires
2. rebuild all carbs and snyc linkage to spec
3. replace power pack, stator, and shift switch
4. change impler and stats.
5. changed fluids in lower unit and tilt.
6. compression 95 +/- 3 in all six.

Do you guys think I should be able to get another 1k hrs + with it?? That is with out having to do much after all this maintains. I feel like I totally rebuild the whole engine.

"Thanks Joe,

Yes, but do you think I should start saving for a 4 stroke? Or do you think this 2 stroke will keep pumping as long as I take care of it?

I like the fact that this motor is small, light and packs a punch. I was also looking as some of the EFI engines out there. I know I can't afford one for sometime, but man they sure look good. ;)

Also for the price it looks like I would really not be saving much on price over accumulated gas purchases.
