"I have a 1986 25 dt suzuki ou

"I have a 1986 25 dt suzuki outboard motor. It idles real rough but when I close the choke to about 70 percent closed it idles a lot better. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong. I have cleaned carb. Tried adjusting the carb. Replaced the headgasket, I replaced the fuel line from tank to motor and the bulb and have replaced the plugs. HELP"

Sounds like its not getting gas how about changing the fuel filter and the fuel pump ? Start with the filter its cheaper

"Thanks, I will try that. Is the fuel pump repairable or should I just replace it. I replaced the reed valve assembly with no effect. I also repalced the fuel hose connector at the engine, thanks again."
